Traditions Scavenger Hunt & Food Fest

Afraid of getting lost on your first day of classes? Want to learn more about our beautiful campus and its history? Join the Student Alumni Association WOW scavenger hunt! Make your way around UConn and learn fun facts behind many of our famous Husky landmarks for a chance to win prizes. The event will start and finish at the Alumni Center, where there will also be a special class of 2020 celebration with free food and giveaways! Sponsored by the Student Alumni Association.

The social is for METAS (Mentoring, Educating, & Training for Academic Success) mentees only, but if interested, please stop by. Participants will be able to introduce themselves and socialize with other first year students in the program. The social will be an opportunity to engage in both social and interactive icebreakers to begin facilitating connections.

Recovery Community

Welcome to any student curious about exploring addiction and understanding recovery. The URC is a space where students learn to integrate the principles of recovery into daily life, take part in fun, sober activities, and be part of a community of support. Come learn more about the URC and an environment that is supportive to the therapeutic and educational needs of students recovering from addiction.

All Learning Community students gather for the annual Husky WOW Learning Community Kickoff. This Learning Community tradition provides students with a great opportunity to meet students in other communities. At this event there will be guest speakers, fun games, prizes and music!

This dinner is for freshmen and new transfer students who have signed up to be part of the Asiantation Mentoring Program (AMP).

AACC Welcome Back Pizza and Game Night

This event welcomes incoming freshman and transfer students. You will be provided the opportunity to meet upperclassmen and the Director of the AACC. It also allowed for students to sign up for the AACC P.A²S.S. Program. Find out what the upcoming AACC events for the year. This event was a great way for all students to mix and mingle and get to know each other and the Center.

The kickoff is for all participants (mentors and mentees) in the METAS program. This event will be an opportunity for METAS participants to engage and socialize with others in the cohort through dinner, activities, and an involvement fair.

Men’s Soccer vs Nebraska-Omaha –
“Transfer Students & Campus Change Night”

Welcome transfer and campus change students! If you have come to UConn Storrs from an UConn Regional Campus, or from another college or university, welcome! For all transfers who attend the game, they will receive a free UConn Soccer scarf at Gate 1, and will be welcomed and recognized at halftime.

Doors will open at 7pm and the show will begin at 8pm.
