This week is about finding people, spaces, organizations, and communities
where you feel connected. Try something new, meet people who share your
interests, and begin discovering where you belong at UConn.

This Week's Challenge

You don't have to do everything. Start with a few small actions that
help you feel more comfortable, connected, and confident at UConn.

Visit a student organization, Cultural Center, club, team,
or campus group that interests you.

Start a Conversation

Talk with someone you recognize from class, your residence area,
or a campus activity.

Choose one opportunity you might normally skip and give it a try.

Asian American Cultural Center, Room 424

Connect with AsACC and SHaW through conversation about food,
community, culture, and the importance of sharing meals together.

Writing Center Opening Day

Meet the Writing Center and learn where to get support
with writing projects throughout the semester.

Involvement Fair

Explore student organizations and University programs
and discover new ways to connect and get involved.

SEPTEMBER 10

Opening Reception at The Benton

5:00-7:00 p.m.
William Benton Museum of Art

Celebrate The Benton's new exhibitions with music,
light refreshments, and free admission.

Meet Your Pack @ UConn Library

Late afternoon - exact time TBD
Homer Babbidge Library - room TBD

Connect with commuter, transfer, campus-change, and other students
on unconventional college journeys while learning about library resources.

Rave in the Cave

6:00-8:00 p.m.
UConn Rec Climbing Center

Experience the Climbing Center after dark with special lighting
and glow-themed decor.

SEPTEMBER 12

Residence Hall Challenge

3:30 p.m.
Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field

Show your Husky spirit with your residence hall at the football game.
Floors with strong attendance can compete for a floor dinner. Students
should obtain their game ticket through Athletics.
